Something to note is that humates are fossil carbon. My opinion is that they should be left in the ground along with peat / peat moss. If we have effective sustainable replacements then why mine our environment?

Maybe what we need is NZ based LCA work to deep dive on a real cost comparison (financial, carbon, and environmental). But this govt just looks across the Pacific (the Jones is keeping up)
